Zoe Keating - Cello Artist!

Armed with just her cello and a small box of electronics, Zoë Keating is a one-woman orchestra. She records layer upon layer of cello, her feet dancing over an array of pedals to transform her solo performances into multipart works.

Born in Canada and classically trained from the age of eight, Zoë studied music at Sarah Lawrence College in New York City and the Scuola di Musica di Fiesole in Italy. After graduation she moved to San Francisco and began working in computer software while moonlighting as a cellist with dance troupes, theater companies and rock bands. Inevitably, she combined the two, and developed her now signature style while improvising for late night crowds in her San Francisco warehouse space.

Zoë's self-produced album "One Cello x 16: Natoma", which rose to 1 on the iTunes Classical and 2 on the iTunes Electronica charts, is the direct result of that experimentation. She has since performed her music live on National Public Radio, on television, outdoors in the Nevada desert, in medieval churches, in punk clubs, and before thousands of screaming teenagers in mainstream rock venues across North America and Europe.ns.

Zoë has worked with a wide range of artists, including Grammy nominated Imogen Heap, Grammy and Academy Award winner Mark Isham, The Dresden Dolls, Rasputina, DJ Shadow, and Paolo Nutini. From 2002 to 2006 she was a member of the cello-rock trio Rasputina. Most recently, Zoë has been composing music for film and ballet. In 2008 she performed her music live with the Valencia ballet, she composed music for a documentary called "Ghostbird", and performed her signature layered cello on Mark Isham's score for "The Secret Life of Bees", starring Dakota Fanning, Jennifer Hudson and Alicia Keyes. She is featured on Amanda Palmer's solo release "Who Killed Amanda Palmer" and supported Ms. Palmer on her 2008 European and North American tours.

Zoë is a recipient of a 2009 performing arts grant from the Creative Capital foundation.

Plastiscines é uma banda francesa, composta por Katty Besnard (vocalista/guitarra), Marine Neuilly (guitarra), Louise Basilien (baixo), Anaïs (bateria) e também das antigas bateristas Caroline and Zazie Tavitian.
PLASTICINES
Sendo colegas da mesma escola, elas formaram-se em 2004,quando conheceram Louise Basilien, que tocava harpa, durante um concerto da banda The Libertines. O seu talento foi rapidamente reconhecido por algumas personalidades da música como Maxime Schmitt, produtor da banda alemã Kraftwerk, e que as levou a assinar um contrato com a EMI em Outubro de 2006.

As influências da banda são os White Stripes, The Strokes, e outras bandas de gerações anteriores, como os Blondie ou The Kinks. O seu nome deriva da frase ""plasticine porters with looking glass ties", extraído de uma música dos Beatles, "Lucy in the sky with diamonds".

O seu sucesso na franca, e já um pouco pelo resto da Europa, deve-se também às medidas de proteccionismo francês na música. Em 2006 surgiram imensas bandas rock francesas, a cantar em francês, visto que a lei da rádio passou a ordenar que 40% das músicas que passavam na rádio, deveriam ser em francês, assim apareceram algumas bandas com alguma relevância no cenário europeu a cantar e francês, como Kyo, Emma Daumas, Subway e Plastiscines.

"Paris Calling", uma compilação de músicas de várias bandas parisienses, lançada em França em 2006, foi a sua primeira gravação, da qual contribuiram com as faixas "shake" e "Rake".

Dr. Parnassus (Christopher Plummer) é um velho mágico que fez um pacto com o diabo em troca da vida eterna, entregando a alma do seu primeiro descendente no dia em que completasse 16 anos.
Durante séculos, ele e o seu maravilhoso espectáculo ambulante percorrem as cidades, oferecendo a cada pessoa um mundo fantasista e onírico onde cada um pode escolher entre as alegrias simples e os prazeres sombrios. Mas a mais amarga de todas as horas finalmente chega e o grande mestre da imaginação tem de saldar a sua dívida: Valentina (Lily Cole), sua filha, não tarda em completar a idade prometida e Mr. Nick (Tom Waits) chegou para arrebatar a sua alma. Realizado pelo ex-Monthy Python Terry Gilliam ("Monty Python e o Cálice Sagrado", "Brazil", "12 Macacos", "Tideland - O Mundo ao Contrário"), um conto sobre o bem e o mal, o real e o imaginado, o verdadeiro e o falso.
A morte de Heath Ledger, em Janeiro de 2008, fez suspender temporariamente a produção do filme, obrigando a uma readaptação do argumento. Para tal foram criadas três alter-egos de Tony, protagonizadas por Johnny Depp (Imaginarium Yony 1), Jude Law (Imaginarium Tony 2) e Colin Farrell (Imaginarium Tony 3).
